The 2nd Desert Architecture KSA Forum is a national platform focused on advancing climate-responsive, culturally grounded, and future-ready architecture across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with Vision 2030.

A key pillar of the Forum is the Saudi Architectural Map, showcasing 19 distinct regional architectural styles that reflect the Kingdom’s diverse climate, geography, materials, and cultural identity. The Forum explores how this framework can be translated into contemporary architecture across cities, giga-projects, and public infrastructure ensuring development remains both innovative, sustainable, and context-driven.

The previous edition successfully brought together senior government leaders and industry experts, establishing the Forum as the Kingdom’s flagship platform for dialogue on desert architecture and sustainability. Building on this momentum, the second edition places strong emphasis on practical implementation, climate intelligence in design, passive cooling and shading strategies, smart façades, energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and renewable integration.

Through expert-led discussions, applied case studies, and showcasing of latest technologies, the Forum positions desert architecture as a strategic driver of resilience, livability, and cultural continuity in Saudi Arabia’s evolving built environment.
